To parents worried about English before third grade: now is the time to really begin!

Why should children start English before third grade, when English begins at school?

Because it is the last period in which they can pick up English joyfully!

But English for early elementary schoolers must be taught differently from mom-led English for preschoolers!

Discover an effective way of learning that more than makes up for a slightly late start.

Overview

Is there any subject that worries parents more than English? With third grade around the corner, starting English at home feels overwhelming. Most mom-led English books are written for preschoolers and are hard to apply to an eight- or nine-year-old. Academies rarely have the right class, and some will not even accept children who have not learned phonics.
This book guides parents through about one year of intensive English input before third grade. From a preparation stage of getting used to the letters and sounds of English to a main stage of focused reading and video watching, it shows how to pour in as much English as possible, as effectively as possible, with the goal of entering chapter books.
Set aside the worry that it may be too late for mom-led English. The year before third grade is the best time to learn English quickly and effectively. Children can now think in a far more structured way and understand language better than in early childhood, so they can benefit from both learning and natural acquisition. Even if your child attends an academy, mom-led English is essential for building enough input.
Settling in well at school is vital for a child’s self-efficacy and confidence, and above all, this is the last chance to acquire English naturally before adulthood. This book will be a reliable guide for children about to enter third grade.
