Easy everyday English for kids that even total beginners can follow without resistance.

A step-by-step structure helps your child start speaking English.

Children meeting English for the first time need a chance to become friends with it.

Easy questions, quizzes and play give enough input to open a closed mouth to English.

Overview

Children differ greatly in English, and everyday English is no exception. Without enough input from listening and reading, communicating in English is nearly impossible. It is natural that a child does not answer when mom suddenly speaks English, because the child does not know what it means or how to reply. That is why so many moms give up on everyday English at “Let’s wake up!”
This book was created after careful thought about how a child new to English can become friends with it. Using mainly three easy patterns, “Do you want ○○○?”, “What is this?” and “Let’s play ○○○!”, it helps children start speaking even if both mom and child are complete beginners.
The step-by-step structure built on quizzes and play also helps children open up without resistance. Step 1 teaches basic ways to express oneself, Step 2 teaches common English words through quizzes, and Step 3 lets children fully enjoy playing in English before everyday English begins in earnest in Step 4.
The everyday English cards in the appendix make the book easy to use in daily life, and 67 video lessons help with pronunciation and usage. Read the introduced picture books and play the songs every day while moving through each step at a relaxed pace. One day you will be amazed to hear your child begin to speak English.

About the Author - Regina (Noh, Shinyoung)

A former English instructor and current simultaneous interpreter. She majored in English Interpretation and Translation and English Education at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and holds a secondary school English teacher’s certificate (Level 2). She built a solid career as an instructor at Pagoda Language School and in vacation courses at Seoul National University and Korea University, then entered the Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation at Ewha Womans University and became a simultaneous interpreter.
Determined to expose her son Henry to English in daily life, she sent him to an English kindergarten, but realized that the best person to provide the right input for a child’s personality, level and interests is the mom, and so she began mom-led English. Drawing on her trial and error, she wrote this book as an easy and practical guide for other moms.
